About Deer Creek Hunt Club Deer Creek is just a few miles from the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan. Called Harbor Country, the area is a resort mecca... replete with fishing, boating, swimming, and sightseeing activities.Escape from Chicago or Northwest Indiana and head for the country with your well deserved free time. Particularly famous for its antique shops, specialty shops and art galleries, Harbor Country is also an abundantly rich produce growing area. Hillsides are dotted with picturesque farmland, orchards and vineyards where many local wineries offer daily public tours. Located near New Buffalo, Michigan with an abundance of motels and overnight lodging facilities, four-season recreational opportunities, including two casinos within ten miles and activities abound for the entire family. Shooting Instruction Shooting instruction for the beginner and advanced shooter. Deer Creek offers shooting instruction with the beginning shooter in mind. Whether you’re trying to get acquainted with that old hunting gun or want to improve your target shooting skills, Deer Creek has full time instructors on site. Club General Manager Larry Pelcher is an experienced NSCA certified wingshooting instructor. He is experienced in all of the clay target disciplines and has a vast number of years hunting experience. If your interest in the sport is new and you do not yet own a gun of your own, Deer Creek has rental guns available for first time shooters to test their hand eye coordination. |
What Deer Creek Hunt Club Offers Deer Creek Hunt Club offers the newest and finest in extended season upland game hunting and year round clay target shooting. Michigan private preserve hunting is permitted from August through April. Group Outings and Corporate Events Deer Creek's professional staff are experienced in hosting events for large and small groups. Our staff will help with scheduling and planning your event. Group outings can include introductory lessons in morning followed by a round of clays or hunting. Participants then can have a choice of luncheon and dinner menus. Corporations can invite customers to enjoy an entire day of food and fun. Deer Creek's 500 acre grounds harbor a combination of riverine woodlands, streams, rolling hills, and contoured cover fields.
